Watchful I Studio Moving

Watchful I Studio for quite obvious reasons is tethered to wherever my career takes me and my family. In this case, I have transferred with my day job from the Chicago area to Atlanta, Georgia but this relocation has been quite different than any move I have made in the past. My family has has to sell one home in Chicago and we are having a brand new home built in the Atlanta area. This has presented quite a few obstacles to overcome but we are very excited about the home we have selected and it will allow us to grow as a family and as a business. The biggest issue we have had to deal with is being displaced as a family and live in temporary housing for almost two months while the home is being completely built. We should be settled by the middle of April and we look forward to some normalcy after that. I plan on covering the build out and design of Watchful I Studio's well................new studio on our new YouTube channel over the coming weeks and months.

Watchful I Studio Starts YouTube Channel

Picture
Over the past few months Watchful I Studio has started to provide miniature wargaming content for YouTube. We started with posting product reviews for Battlefront Miniatures with their Flames of War and World War III: Team Yankee ranges and over time we have started to add in some hobby painting videos for Watchful I Studio products. The purpose of this channel will be to discuss all things miniature wargaming including product reviews, army building and painting and overall discussions centered around the hobby and products. We plan on covering the more popular game systems such as Warhammer 40,000, Age of Sigmar, Kings of War, 9th Age, Warhammer Armies Project, Saga, Hail Caesar, A Song of Ice and Fire, Flames of War and World War III: Team Yankee to name a few. If you are interested in joining in the fun then click the icon and be sure to subscribe and ring the bell for new video notifications.

The Elector Counts Podcast discusses Watchful I Studio for Warhammer Armies Project

Picture
I have had the pleasure of speaking with Rene from the Elector Counts Podcast on two separate occasions to talk about how Watchful I Studio can be used for the eastern civilizations that were never really touched upon during the reign of Warhammer Fantasy Battles. A Watchful I Studio Kickstarter backer and customer, Mathias started a game system called Warhammer Armies Project and he updated the 8th Edition Warhammer rules as well as wrote and designed some very professional looking digital army books for civilizations such as Cathay, Kingdom of Ind, Nippon amongst others. If you are interested in learning more about the project check out their page link below and I also provided links for the two interviews I participated in along with another podcast where Rene discusses how the current ancient Chinese and Terracotta ranges can be used for alternative armies in the Warhammer Armies Project game system.

Fireforge Games offering Watchful I Studio historical range

Picture
Recently Fireforge Games has elected to carry Watchful I Studio's Qin Dynasty Chinese range in their webstore. The items are now live and in stock so let's support our friends at Fireforge and help them during a difficult time in Italy. We are proud that they have decided to carry our products and hopefully we will see more of this partnership in the future. They continue to present a wonderful array of products for their growing historical and blossoming fantasy ranges. For more information or to order your items from Fireforge please click the icon above. Be safe and take care of each other during this difficult time.

Survey Results
After leaving the survey posted for about a month the results are in and here are the top 3 civilizations that you voted for:

1. Xiongnu Empire - Chinese pre-Mongols (209 BC - 215 AD)
2. Yayoi Dynasty - Japanese (300 BC - 300 AD)
3. Greco-Bactrian Kingdom - Indo-Greek (250-125 BC)

So what does this mean? Well, these are clearly the ranges you would like to see and I am all about making my customers happy. Moving forward we will begin designing, sculpting and manufacturing these civilizations in the order above. Each civilization will receive a full historical compliment as well as fantasy components associated with the cultures mythical and folklore beasts. The fantasy elements will have a 'theme' allowing collectors to build a fantasy army to use in a myriad of game systems available in the marketplace. We have a few other civilizations that are currently in production such as the highly anticipated Mauryan Indian range and its fantasy counterparts and a new Chinese Warring States range. Keep a Watchful I on the projects page for updates and information about the new ranges coming in the future.

The Mauryan Empire project page has been posted for quite some time but a lot of progress has been made on the army over the past several months. We are getting close to launching the Mauryan Empire miniatures range but recent events around the globe will delay the launch until conditions improve. The tenative launch for the Kickstarter will be delayed until later this spring or into the summer of 2020 so keep a Watchful I for more details. Interested in learning more about the Mauryan Indian range click on the link below or follow us on Instagram to see the latest in our painting progress.
