We have nearly completed the concept art for our next civilization and below is the completed artwork for the historical troop types that will be represented in our miniature range. We plan to sculpt poses with as few parts as possible shooting for single cast miniatures whenever the pose calls for it. In exchange we are going to try and have variant poses for each troop type giving you a variety of poses to give your army a dynamic look.
The Mauryan Empire established itself from 322 B.C. until its demise around 185 B.C. and was one of the largest empires during its time. After the defeat and death of Alexander the Great the Mauryans expanded westward defeating the satraps that were left behind. The Mauryan Empire existed during the same time as the Chinese Warring States and Qin Dynasty making it a great potential enemy to the existing product range that we already offer.
The painted miniatures below are base coated and washed to give you the impressions of details on the 3D sculpts and eventually the final castings. Some details may change in the final production pieces but overall what you see is very close to the final product.
The arrow heads on the 3D prints need some correction and the final version will look like the arrow heads above in the digital pictures.
The details of the banner below need a few adjustments. The tassel on the left did not print properly so some corrections will be made to have the end come to a point similar to the tassel on the right. The bronze emblem is Asoka's chakra but the details did not wash very well so more than likely the details will be deepened so they cast properly.
